Rural HIT readiness assessment: Part 2

Join NRHA for a webinar on December 3.

Space is limited.

The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act, passed as part of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), provides hospitals and physicians financial incentives to accelerate deployment of expanded HIT systems in 2011.

This is only if you meet the "Meaningful Use" thresholds as defined by the Office of National Coordinator in August.

On Thursday, Dec. 3, NRHA will sponsor a free webinar to provide you with a process to determine if your facility meets the “Meaningful Use” threshold.

We ask that you obtain a copy of the survey on Meaningful Use readiness, which will ultimately be used to further NRHA’s advocacy efforts on your behalf, to improve the CAH HIT reimbursement program and to bolster technical assistance for rural facilities.

NRHA’s free survey and webinar will be essential to assist your organization in assessing its HIT strategy and if it can qualify and benefit from ARRA funds.

Webinar presenters will include Louis Wenzlow, Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative and information technology network CIO and health information technology director; Lance Keilers, Ballinger Memorial Hospital CEO and NRHA Hospital and Health Systems Constituency Group chair and Brock Slabach, NRHA member services senior vice president.

Please join us for the second in a series of three webinars.  You can replay part 1 of this series by linking to www.ruralhealthweb.org/hit. Video doesn't start for about eight minutes.
